What is Super Cig and how does it work?
The Super Cig smokeless cigarette delivers the same pleasure that you get from smoking a real cigar or cigarette. It looks feels and smells just like your favorite brand, but Super Cig doesn't contain tobacco and you don't actually "light it". The Super Cig is not considered a "tobacco product" it is a electronic cigarette so you are permitted to use it anywhere you want.
Super Cig is a non-flammable product that eliminates the harmful ingredients of tobacco products and therefore does not produce the carcinogens associated with cigars and cigarettes. Super Cig contains a small rechargeable battery, a safe replaceable cartridge containing water, propylene glycol, nicotine, a scent that emulates a tobacco flavor and a membrane to contain the ingredients.
Is Super Cig approved by the FDA or the ATF?
The Alcohol and Tobacco Trade Bureau (TTB) formerly the (ATF) and the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) have formally stated that Super Cig is not a product that warrants the involvement or oversight of either government entity. The FDA (which protects public health by assuring the safety, efficacy, and security of human and veterinary drugs, biological products, medical devices, food supply, cosmetics, and products that emit radiation) notes that Super Cig and its benefits do not fit the classification of products that it governs. The TTB (which exists to administer laws and regulations that protect consumers) tested the ingredients of Super Cig and formally determined that the TTB has no regulatory interest in Super Cig because it does not contain tobacco.
Does Super Cig taste and smell like my cigar/cigarette?
The Super Cig smokeless cigarette has cartridges that replicate many smoking preferences such as regular or menthol. How long will a cartridge last?
The cartridges for your Super Cig will last approximately the same length of time as it would take for you to smoke two (2) packs of cigarettes. A pack contains (20) cigarettes and each cigarette lasts for approximately (15) drags. Two (2) packs would equal approximately (600) drags and that is the equivalent of just one (1) cartridge for your Super Cig.
How do the ingredients in Super Cig compare to those in my cigar/cigarette?
Cigars and cigarettes contain tobacco, hundreds of additives, nicotine, paper and glue, the smokeless cigarette does not. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), when this product burns, it can cause cancer, cardiovascular and respiratory disease and damage nearly every organ of your body.
Super Cig contains water, propylene glycol, nicotine, a tobacco flavored scent and a membrane to contain these ingredients. None of these ingredients are considered to be carcinogenic. The FDA has claimed propylene glycol to be safe and nicotine itself is not believed to have any toxicological effects, in fact it can be found occurring naturally in tomatoes, potatoes and peppers.
What is propylene glycol?
Propylene glycol is a commonly used organic compound that is recognized as generally safe by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). Propylene Glycol serves as a "humectant", a substance that helps retain moisture content, or simply it prevents things from drying out. That's why some pet foods are soft and chewy. This, of course, is a good reason it's in cosmetics and other personal care items. It makes the skin feel moist and soft. And, the products don't dry out. Propylene Glycol is also found in baby wipes and even some processed foods! The propylene glycol provides the vapor mist that looks like smoke from your Super Cig and also to suspend the flavor.
How does nicotine affect my body?
Nicotine is an alkaloid found in the nightshade family of plants (Solanaceae), predominantly in tobacco, and in lower quantities in tomato, potato, eggplant (aubergine), and green pepper. Nicotine alkaloids are also found in the leaves of the coca plant. Nicotine constitutes 0.3% to 5% of the tobacco plant by dry weight, with biosynthesis taking place in the roots, and accumulating in the leaves. It functions as an antiherbivore chemical, being a potent neurotoxin with particular specificity to insects; therefore nicotine was widely used as an insecticide in the past. The carcinogenic properties of nicotine in standalone form, separate from tobacco smoke, have not been evaluated by the IARC, and it has not been assigned to an official carcinogen group. The currently available literature indicates that nicotine, on its own, does not promote the development of cancer in healthy tissue and has no mutagenic properties.
